Editorial Criteria and Processes

Before submitting your manuscript to Dasinya Journal, it is important to review the editorial criteria and workflows outlined below to ensure a smooth submission and review process.

Editorial Process Overview

The editorial workflow at Dasinya Journal is divided into three main stages:

  1. At Submission
  2. After Submission
  3. After Acceptance

At Submission

Criteria for Publication
For a manuscript to qualify for publication, it must meet the following criteria:

  • Originality: The research must present novel findings, including original conclusions, results, and data, and should not have been submitted or published elsewhere.
  • Scientific Significance: The manuscript must make a substantial contribution to its field of study.

Publication Limitations
Each issue of Dasinya Journal is limited to publishing 30 articles. Manuscripts exceeding this quota will be deferred to subsequent issues.

Editorial Board
The editorial board consists of distinguished scientists committed to impartial, independent, and efficient reviews. Final decisions are made by the editors after considering recommendations from referees.

Submitting an Article
Authors must adhere to the Dasinya Journal Formatting Guide for manuscript length, layout of tables/figures, and supplementary materials. Submissions should be made through the journal's online manuscript submission system to avoid delays.

After Submission

Once submitted, the manuscript undergoes the following steps:

  1. Initial Screening
The editorial board evaluates whether the manuscript aligns with the journal’s scope and standards. The Editor-in-Chief consults with subject-area editors to make the initial decision.

  2. Peer Review Process

    • Manuscripts are assigned to at least two reviewers.
    • Authors are typically informed within four weeks if their manuscript is not proceeding to peer review.
    • Reviewer feedback is usually provided within one month.
    • Editorial decisions are promptly made after receiving reports.

Decision Outcomes
The editorial board communicates one of the following outcomes based on the peer review:

Decision Further Changes Required Back to Referees Additional Experiments Resubmission Possible
Accepted No No No -
Deferred Yes Yes Yes -
Rejected No No No Yes

Appeals
In case of rejection, authors may appeal the decision by submitting a written request, supported by scientific reasoning.

After Acceptance

Given the journal's limited space, accepted manuscripts must strictly adhere to its formatting guidelines. Upon acceptance, the following steps are undertaken:

  1. Subediting
Manuscripts undergo rigorous subediting to improve clarity and enhance their scientific value.

  2. Proofreading
Authors receive an edited version of their manuscript for approval, followed by a final PDF proof for review.

  3. Publication Notification
Authors are provided with a link to their published article and a summary highlighting key findings.

Additionally, Dasinya Journal issues a news release summarizing the contributions of the published articles to maximize dissemination and visibility.
